Day clinic

For integrative oncology

"80% of patients need help for body and soul after cancer treatment."

This is where "integrative oncology" comes in as part of a holistic overall concept. Integrative oncology means that naturopathic therapies complement conventional therapy. The aim is to alleviate side effects and improve patients' quality of life. This has already been scientifically proven in a large number of studies and forms the basis of our day clinic.

In addition to regular short lectures (topics include side effect management, sleep disorders, fatigue syndrome, etc.), our treatment concept includes an introduction to the classic methods of naturopathy, acupuncture, Kneipp therapy, sports and exercise therapy as well as various offers for stress reduction (mind-body medicine, psycho-oncology, yoga, QiGong, etc.).

Our aim is to strengthen patients' self-efficacy through information, training and therapy and to promote a healthy lifestyle.

We aim to achieve this through:

  • Reducing stress, tension and anxiety

  • Strengthening well-being and self-confidence

  • Relieving stressful symptoms

  • Increasing the pain threshold

  • Modulating the immune system

The target group is cancer patients who have completed one or more of the following oncological treatments: Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.

The detailed schedule of the program can be found here.

The next course starts on March 5, 2024.

Dr. Anne Cathrine Quenzer

...has been working on cancer-related issues and projects since her school days. As part of her doctorate, she decided to do an experimental doctoral thesis in the field of translational basic research on tumor metabolism and developed a special interest in oncology over the course of her studies. She has been working as a gynecologist since 2017, first at the Cantonal Hospital in St. Gallen and later at the University Women's Hospital in Würzburg. Since 2020, Dr. Quenzer has been increasingly involved in integrative oncology, in which naturopathic therapy complements conventional therapy. Since 2022, she has also headed the tumor-fatigue consultation hours of the Bavarian Cancer Society in Würzburg.

Her enthusiasm for integrative treatment concepts led her to us at the Hufeland Clinic in 2022, where she will head the new day clinic for cancer patients from spring 2023.
